The theme for TKC2021 is Future Transport Direction in Aotearoa
Transport Knowledge Conference 2021 will focus on looking ahead to Aotearoa’s transport sector for the next 30 years. The past 18 months have provided our sector with challenges, we need to be adaptable and welcoming to change to allow for opportunities and innovations that assist us in reaching our transport goals. Linking the latest research and evidence at the TKC2021 will help shape future policy to achieve this. We have five sub-themes for this conference:
Climate change response - Continuing the path to zero emissions and electrifying our transport system.
Supply chain – Creating an efficient and sustainable freight and supply chain system for New Zealanders.
COVID-19 lessons – Applying our learnings from COVID-19 to the changed transport sector.
Transport system equity - Creating a transport system that is accessible for all socio-economic groups in Aotearoa.
Healthy and safe people – Creating a healthy and safe transport system that people are eager to use.
